JPG Digest - Issue #1 February
February was a crazy month for Cardano NFTs, and that inspired us to create our own newsletter to cover all the events in the space (along with some cool jpg.store data 🤓).
Mints Of The Month:
The #fudbudtakeover was very real! A project born from the mind of Lewis, a talented artist that had previously worked on Death Squad, a set of 1 of 1 pieces. Nicely plays on the FUD narrative and has picked up great traction on social media.
This beautiful art collection sparked the interest of many collectors in the space. Seems like people were really eager to jump on a pure art project which proves that there is room for innovation in the space!
The 80’s vibe is really strong with this one! Really nice color palette and a great take on the retrotopia topic. The community seems to be loving it and the volume puts a number on that appreciation!
Backwards Geometry is an alias for Michael Wilseque, a multidisciplinary abstract artist from Brazil that has been creating and immortalizing his work on the Cardano blockchain for almost a year at this point.
His works deal with gestual and textural creation in a moment of raw emotion. Exploring colors, shapes and materials while letting art manifest itself.
Various collections, physical pieces and exciting auctions later he is still creating and has amassed a devoted collector base.
Let's talk numbers! 🔢
In February, jpg.store had a total of 39 MILLION (yes, the one with 6 zeros) ADA, with Feb 3rd being the day with highest volume at 1.79M.
Top 3 Collections:
The Ape Society (4.3m ADA in sales)
Boss Cat Rocket Club (3.6m ADA in sales)
Boss Planet Real Estate (3.4m ADA in sales)
Whale Alert! The highest sales of this month on our platform were also incredible and made a lot of waves (positive and negative 🍵) on Twitter and other social platforms.
Congrats to both buyers and sellers!
1) Boss Cat Rocket Club #9872 sold for 150,000 ADA on February 10th
2) Kinsey de' Medici sold for 100,000 ADA on February 3rd
3) Boss Cat Rocket Club #1843 sold for 45,000 ADA on February 3rd
We are really looking forward to the upcoming updates to jpg.store in the coming months and how that will benefit collectors and artists alike! ❤
